As of 2015, this collection is complete but for two Solomon Kane stories completed from fragments left by Robert E. Howard, and a missing early piece, 'Midnight Appointment'.
The introduction to each story varies slightly. All feature a writing date with details of initial publication and subsequent inclusions in official Campbell anthologies. Some feature an introductory quote, carefully chosen to give background yet not spoil the show. When it comes to dates, these are taken from the readers' guide The Core Of Ramsey Campbell, which authoritatively charts Campbell's work from his earliest writings through to 1994. Beyond this date, Campbell's own website has been useful, followed by his fore- and afterwords. Failing that, we are left with the copyright pages of anthologies, other secondary sources and, as a last resort, best guesses.
